Applying for translator

hello there, I saw it from the latest chapter that Nayuki love scanlation is recruiting translator, which i think i might can be some help. and here is my basic profile

Language:

• Chinese Mandarin: 8 years school experiences, Advanced level Chinese, able to read both simplified and traditional chinese, know more than 2-3k words or more... (I am chinese by the way)
  
• English: 12 years school experiences, intermediate level, have weak Grammar especially tense
  

Basically, i want to apply CHN>ENG translator's position (hopefully Fortune Arterial's)

Looking at your profile... I'll say your chinese is most likely better than me (4 years education and many years of reading chink manga). weak tense/ grammar is not a very big issue since we have some pretty good proofreaders which has done a pretty good job since they came.

I'll upgrade your status to team member tomorrow (since it's like 1am over here), which will allow you to see the translation pages

Hey some fresh blood and yet another chink...seriously what is it with this group that attracts the chinks? Hope you aren't offended by that since that's pretty much how we refer to the Chinese people around here.

Anyway it doesn't seem like we'll have any issues accuracy and speed wise concerning your translation so welcome aboard! Once again I leave everything to vineh because he's the head honcho around here (just don't wanna do it)

And no need to hope to get along well over here. Everyone here is pretty nice, shit I'm probably the one who will give you the most trouble and only if you do something completely absurd or you want my 'honest' opinion.

i see, so chinese is chink in here, what a slang XD beside, how many people are in the team already? Do you all have the list or all the staff are list on the forum already(saw one but not sure)

yeah we have chinks, aussies, kiwis...probably more, but those are pretty much the basics. and the most updated list of members is at the blog since jonjon is the one who updates that list thing on the forum.

another thing over here that you'll probably learn soon enough. if you want something done...chances are you'll have to do it yourself since we like to take our time getting other things done besides working on the scans.
