Regarding Da Capo II

As the title states, im considering translating DCII. but before i start, i'd like to know the story first. so should i start reading from da capo I? are they linked? just some questions that are awaiting some answers.

well dc2 is somewhat loosely tied to dc1. it's not really necesary to read/watch dc1 to understand dc2, but it sort of helps. anyway the manga (dc2if) is based on an AU of DC2 so its recommended to know the dc2 story, but again not really required. you have a greater appreciation for dc2if if you know the dc2 story.

so DCII is different from DCII I.F. so basically the basics i need to know are only DCII, then read I.F from the start.

i think its a good game, but anime will be shorter
