Episode 3 rounds off the Mio arc...and wow watching kami nomi is like playing the route of each heroine-type girl in a visual novel from start to finish in 2 episodes. You'd think the pacing would be rather horrible if you compare it to some other visnovel adaptations, but kami nomi is doing a bang-up job given that it doesn't have the constraints of not developing the romantic aspect of the route.

Anyway tsundere get! I eagerly anticipate the next episode and good to know this will get an S2. Not even any doubt this anime will be hugely popular and successful Razz

yeah I was kinda worried about the pacing too but it seems to be going alright. Wonder is the plot gonna go further than the libarian arc though... but heck, all's good.

Well the ED only showed up to Shiori (library girl?) and it is only 13 episodes so yeah I think that's as far as it's going to go. The 2nd season should cover the next batch...though I hope we get some Hakua this season!

Episode 4...tenmon...TENMON!!!

This episode seems to be getting mixed reviews (why the hell did they animate a single manga chapter into an entire episode yada yada yada), but I personally felt that the pacing was just right. Now those who are raising a ruckus over this are of course the manga readers (elitist adaptation purists such as myself), but the episode still plays an important role in helping to define the character known as Katsuragi Keima...albeit it did feel a bit dragged at some points. I think those who have seen E8 are probably forever traumatized by any show that even remotely try to pull off the antics kyoani did, but the short repetition montages were not only enjoyable, it also afforded viewers both old and new the opportunity to see what exactly Keima was going through.

Overall another solid episode for TWGOK! Healthy dose of comedy with a dash of character development for our protagonist. Hell we can throw story development into the mix given that Keima IS TWGOK and our protagonist needs a bit of character in him besides master of galge right?

I can see...the ending!

It's quite refreshing how they are adding anime-original material to stretch out the arcs, but yet they rarely feel out of pace at all. I mean sure some parts of the episode feel a tad...meh for the lack of a better word, but the pacing was still pretty solid.

Highlight of the episode has to be the mother/daughter bonding...such a good mom Sad

And must not be your thing then since I'm finding the anime ridiculously awesome at the moment. It's refreshing how the 'filler' material they use to pad the episodes doesn't feel like filler at all. It fits pretty well...LIKE A GLOVE!

Yeah but I think they do a fairly good job of not only padding episodes, but also giving us more of a glimpse than the manga ever could. It's nice how they don't butcher, but add on to the present material and in ways only an anime can.

Are they trying to promote the seiyuu or something because the same couple of songs on loop for 3 episodes is a bit excessive.

And yeah agree with Pimp-o. The extra bits and pieces really add depths to Kanon, whom deserves at least this much attention considering her role in the future.

Is it Hakua or Librarian girl next?

Well i just watched the 5 anime episodes, which i liked btw. As for the manga I like that there has been a plot development, so it's no longer capturing the souls of old hell but also there is some kind of bad guys. And yeah I agree that he is not acting like Kami-sama but as a demon obsessed with harems lol.

I remember a friend of mine commenting on how it's gonna get more battle shounen as times go by. It's really hard to see where the manga will end up (once keima and the old hell faction confronts each other)... maybe something along the lines of Ah My Goddess?

And yeah they're really pimping these singles...kind of like how ef - melodies pretty much pimped background music after bg music since it was titled melodies...not that I mind since the songs were decent. Was a nice touch to skip the regular ending altogether and just continue on with her song. Oh oh and I hope you all noticed how they slipped in a nice tidbit concerning future episodes...if this gets greenlit for a third season we should probably see it.

Still enjoying how they are expanding on the original manga without it feeling too intrusive and filler-ish. Though I agree about the amount of songs...well what do you expect from the idol arc? Very Happy
