Well, I joined your IRC channel just to be forwarded to this forum. Back to business, ahem. I am here applying to be a cleaner and/or editor (no duh). I have some decent amount of experience ( I won't bother explaining how much as that's a long story). I know basically all the skills it takes to be an cleaner except professional redrawing (Well, I can manage with that but it will take a really really long time). As with editing, I tend to use what sounds right and what also fits the English Language grammar. My reason for joining this group is cause I got bored with fansubbing.

Well going by our discussion in irc...I don't have any problems with you joining us. Anyone else care to pitch in?

Though do know that we don't usually split up the editing work around here. That means you will both clean and typeset as an editor here at NL.

Time to take a crash course on typesetting?

the harder part is editing, but the more tedious part is typesetting

well given how gung-ho some of the new proofreaders handle things, being a proofreader is now somewhat of a minor role now for the editor...depending on which script you are working on. our translators pretty much release rather accurate scripts, but grammar as well as localization varies from translator to translator.

anyway i'm good with another new editor who isn't that bogged down by the horrors of education...

Indeed there Mr. Holmes. I will be ready to take that job whenever someone calls my name, Mr. Watson.
